The following are a list of spiritual truths that are found in my book. They are brief statements that sum up various ideas that Death explains to Lanny. I find them timeless and powerful:

• Free will is the only thing in life that can truly cost you
• One cannot find without loss
• One must constantly die to truly live
• To sacrifice, to give something up, is a sign of growth
• Intent is all that is ever necessary
• Death is just another state of consciousness
• Nothing ever dies, it just lives differently
• The love one experiences in life is nothing compared to the love one experiences in death
• You already know the answers to all of your questions
• If you want to know God, experience life
• Expand your consciousness to expand your reality
• As you become aware of the Light within, you begin to illuminate the mysteries of life for others
• Reality can always be changed
• The path you choose dictates the lives you live
• What is of this world is also not of this world
• Live your life with reverence and respect; the Divine is everywhere
• Ego is the baggage we carry that keeps us from traveling with the Divine
• Quiet the mind to experience the Oneness of reality
• As consciousness expands, the veil is drawn back and shadows are illuminated
• Spiritual maturity opens the door to other realities
• The flow of divine energy increases as the size of your ego decreases
• The transition of a soul is never solitary
• The path you choose is your responsibility, from beginning to end. Everything that happens on your journey is on you.
• In order to live, everything must die – especially your belief systems
• You cannot force someone who has chosen a path away from the Light to suddenly turn toward it. All you can do is love them, show them your path to Light, and love them some more
• Everyone is always where they are supposed to be on the path toward the Divine
• When it comes to the Divine, learning is nothing more then remembering
• A soul mate is your best teacher – whether you know they are your soul mate or not
• It’s amazing what you know if you take the time to listen to your self
